Happy Halloween

I wonder, do bad memories of Halloween make it through the filter of childhood? I don't think I ever remember not having fun on Halloween.

Lauren's actual costume is "Alice Cullen, dressed as a wood nymph for Halloween", hence the black hair. Thanks to Aunt Megan, the wild bandido for coming over to do Lauren's hair and makeup for our ward halloween party and Aunt Elise for loaning the costume. One reason Halloween was more stressful for me, ward halloween party on halloween night and knowing my kids still wanted to trick or treat.I just loved this pic of Bad Guy Megan!

Emma dressed as Sally, from the Nightmare before Christmas. She actually won "Best Costume" at the ward party, which I think may have made up for missing out on trick or treating when Mom, Dad, and Lauren all got asked to help with game booths at the party.
However, she did inform us that no Halloween is complete without the annual dumping out of the candy and swapping with your cousins tradition. So, we made the trek out to Chandler, because for some reason, I'm all about making memories. Of course, this way we get to see Nana B. and Grampy when we're all dressed up for halloween too. Now, one holiday down....

You know what is so fun about this post? Seeing things that I have memories of now. First of all, Lauren looks so grown up in that picture, wow, she looks gorgeous. Meagan is hilarious, i'm digging her lipstick. And Emma is just so stinkin cute. Of course she won. Why would anyone else win? Heidi has that same shirt, it's from Target huh? And then you just put the patches on it. Brilliant. And then I love the picture in front of the fireplace, I've been there you know!

I'm so excited you posted!!! I've been checking for the last couple days even though I knew there was nothing new. I just really needed a Monique post. Lauren and Emma look amazing! Did Megan do Emma's make up too?
By the way, don't you remember President Monson's talk was all about enjoying today to make great memories for tomorrow? You were just following the prophet.

Megan does look awesome too. Did you dress up?

First I have to say, 'bout freakin' time. I, like Merilee, keep checking to see if you posted. I am so excited you did. The girls looked great on Halloween. Lauren is way too grown up. She's gorgeous and it's scary. Emma looked perfect as Sally. I almost bought that dress for Antoinette and then didn't. I think it's funny how many clothes Addie and Emma have the same. I may need to make a rule about shopping at Target.

The best part is, Emma didn't have to act at all. She just kind of is Sally. Also, no Target rules! That is why we live 30 miles away. So that we can lead parallel lives. Btw, even patched and shredded, Emma still wants to wear that dress around.
